December 19th, 2002 - I think this was about the time my friend David (film-maker, photographer) had just moved to New York. And another friend, Marcy (photographer, cartoon-ist), was in town on one of her random, sporadic visits from D.C.

So, hmm... David + Marcy, both in town... what to do?? I know: "Cinqo de Maio!" The watering hole of choice for the evening was Enid's - a neighborhood fave. Just a cool sort of dive bar where the "artsy" types like to hang out.

We were joined thoughout the night by Walter, Jen, Nicole, and a couple of Marcy's friends - whose names I have no recollection of!? <sorry>

So, yeah... we laughed, we cried, we drank a lot of beer.
