Umm... some Polish dude (who?) started the block on fire (what) for reasons entirely unknown (why). This happened one block over from my apartment (where) in the wee hours
of April 14, 2002 (when). I think it
was Prof. Plumb in the kitchen with the candlestick (how?). (No idea...)

Be sure not to miss the appearance
of Spider Man, coming to the rescue, in shot #5. It took about 2 hours to fully extinguish the fire and, to my knowledge, there were no injuries. And the real heroes, of course, were the firefighters and EMTs. Go FDNY!!

These images were taken from my rooftop with a 35mm SLR (some hand-held, some with a tripod) with shutter speeds from ~1/8 of a second to 2 seconds. It was shot on Fuji 400 and pushed two stops in development.
