I was born in the far reaches of the Australian outback in nineteen srvvra-vrvv and raised by a wild pack of Mexican Whooping Lamas. I emigrated to the United States (by whale back) in nineteen srvvra-vrvv and have lived here ever since. I am now
the proud owner of a pet donkey named Bean-O.

And in my other life... I'm just a guy with a camera, a pen, and (now) a website.
On a journey from one end of life to the other, I suppose. I'm a photo assistant.
And I live in the Greenpoint section of Brooklyn, NY (a transplant by way of Iowa).

So, "who am I" and "what do I do here"? Well, I guess I can pull something outta
my arse for those who don't already know me (and perhaps for those who think
they do?)...

I like cake. I'm 6-foot-1 and my middle name is James. My "sign" is Deer Crossing, next 5 miles with Beware of Falling Rocks ascending. heh-heh-heh...

Okay, seriously... My three loves are music, writing, and photography. I'm a computer geek and a hermit. I'm a right-leaning Libertarian. I'm a Christian. And I would call myself a "truth-seeker". I guess I "like" art (though my relationship with it is dubious at best), but I respect science. I think form should follow function. But where form
is concerned, I like gargoyles, celtic design, tribal design, clowns, carnivals, and all things dark. My drugs of choice are Mt Dew and Marlboro Lights.

I like mostly heavy metal (Korn, Linkin Park, Disturbed, Static-X, etc), but also a fair amount of pop (DMB, John Mayer, Dido, Poe, etc) and also some techno / industrial / ambient type stuff (Crystal Method, Thrill Kill Kult, Esthero, Faithless, Massive Attack, etc). My two favorite books (of fiction) are Geek Love and Atlas Shrugged. C.S. Lewis is one of the greatest writers ever. J.R.R. Tolkein's pretty cool, too. Cosmology [the study of the size and totality of the Universe] blows my mind.

I love movies. My tastes are mostly mainstream and my all-time favs are probably the ones I've dubbed as my "liberty flicks" (films like The Patriot, Braveheart, Schindler's List, Amistad, Saving Private Ryan, etc). Next to those are the dark / action / sci-fi / adventure type (Matrix, Seven, Fight Club, The Professional, Dark City, The Crow, Underworld, etc). The Boondock Saints is my favorite "unknown". My favorite shows on TV are NYPD Blue, David Letterman, Buffy (seriously - it's an *amazing* show), The Sopranos, and Six Feet Under.

I don't know. What else do you need to know, really? Nothing. So, in the immortal words of one of my favorite t-shirts... "Welcome to Brooklyn. Now go home!" :-)
